London Halloween Charity Walk
Join the team and take on the Halloween Walk for Dementia UK.
Take 15 minutes out of your day this November and challenge yourself to complete 100 skips every day, whether you’re a skipping pro or just learning the ropes.
You’ll be joining a supportive community and raising vital funds so more families facing dementia can access the life-changing support of our specialist dementia nurses.
Once you’ve completed the challenge, we’ll send you a virtual medal and certificate to thank you for your hard work and dedication.
We can’t wait to welcome you to #TeamDementiaUK! Every day you skip and every pound you raise will help ensure that no one faces dementia alone.
If you have any questions, please take a look at our FAQs below or contact us at virtualevents@dementiauk.org
Whether you’re a speedy skipper or you break down the target each day, we are challenging you to complete 100 skips each day in November.
Once you register, you’ll receive a free skipping rope, sponsorship form and paper tracker in the post. You’ll also have the chance to connect with hundreds of other skippers in our supportive Facebook Group.
From beginner to pro, everyone is welcome, so set aside some time each day to improve your fitness and achieve something special this November. Your fundraising will help our specialist dementia nurses offer a lifeline to more families when they need it most.
You can register for the challenge. Then be sure to join our incredible 100 Skips a Day in November Facebook Group, where you can meet your fellow skippers and find out anything else you’d like to know about the challenge.
Once you have registered and set up your fundraiser, you’ll be ready to go! Start planning when and where you’ll skip each day, so you’re prepared for your challenge once Friday 1st November 2024 comes around.
Taking part in the 100 Skips a Day in November challenge for Dementia UK is free!
There is no fundraising target for this challenge – we just ask you to raise as much as you can for families affected by dementia.
No – if you’d prefer not to use Facebook, you can register for the challenge and select ‘Submit without activating a fundraiser yet’.
Creating a Facebook fundraiser is the quickest and easiest way to raise money. Once you’ve logged into Facebook, you can set one up in a few seconds.

Once you have created a fundraising page, be sure to share it with your family and friends and family via social media, text, WhatsApp and email.
You certainly can. We’ll send you a sponsorship form with your skipping rope, but if you need more than one form, simply download and print more copies.
Please ask your sponsors to fill out all the columns so we can claim up to 25% Gift Aid.
All donations made to your fundraiser will be sent directly to Dementia UK by Facebook and JustGiving. These vital donations will help support families facing dementia.
The easiest way to send cash donations to Dementia UK is by donating to your online fundraising page. Alternatively, you can:
Dementia UK, 7th Floor, One Aldgate, London, EC3N 1RE
To register for your skipping rope, please complete the registration form. We’re working hard to ship skipping ropes every working day in the run-up to the challenge, so they arrive with you in time for Friday 1st November 2024. However, it may take up to two weeks for your skipping rope to arrive, so please be patient.
We’re sorry to hear you haven’t received your skipping rope yet. If you have waited two weeks since completing the registration form, please email virtualevents@dementiauk.org and we will investigate.
We send out one skipping rope per participant. If you would like to buy additional Dementia UK branded items, please visit our shop. You’ll find tote bags, cosy beanies and adults’ and children’s t-shirts!
This is your challenge, so you can decide how you would like to keep track of it. You will receive our handy tracker with your skipping rope, which is a great way to tick off the days. Just be sure to keep your sponsors posted on how you’re getting on with the challenge – whether that’s by posting a picture of your updated tracker or a photo or video of you in action!
Of course! Our Facebook Group is active in November, when the majority of people are likely to take part, but you can do this challenge whenever it is best for you. The more 100 Skips a Day in November participants we have, the more families will receive the life-changing support of our specialist dementia nurses.
Absolutely. This is your challenge, and you can tailor it to suit you. Just be clear with your supporters about how many days you are intending to skip for, and how many skips you’re aiming for each day. Keep them updated regularly with your progress.
All that matters is that you challenge yourself and enjoy raising awareness and funds so our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses can support more families. Do as much as you can. Update your sponsors regularly, be clear about how far you’ve come in your challenge, and make sure they are still happy to donate to Dementia UK.
